Mission Statement
The Community Tennis Association of Henderson County (CTA-HC) is a not-for-profit, all-volunteer organization which endeavors to spread the joy of tennis within our community!
We promote the growth of tennis to people of all ages, and partner with other community recreational organizations to make tennis more widely available.
We sponsor the Apple Open Tournament every September which offers visible community participation and is the primary fundraiser for our tennis programs and enables us to offer youth scholarships.
We are an affiliate of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and the Western North Carolina Tennis Association.
Here are our 2025 tennis programs and events!

Support Your Community Tennis Association!
Many months after Hurricane Helene many of us continue to feel the impact of the storm. As one drives around Western North Carolina, scars can still be seen from the storm’s destruction.
Your Community Tennis Association of Henderson County continues to work at recovering the program funds we lost due to the cancellation of our 2024 Apple Open fundraiser because of Helene. We lost close to $13,000. This loss greatly impacts our ability in 2025 to organize kids and adult tennis programs at Jackson Park, contract with our tennis pro to offer instruction at many of the programs, and to give up to five annual tennis scholarships to local senior varsity high school students.
You can help us recover some of the funding loss by using the QR code or the
link below. Both will give you the option of using either your credit card or your
PayPal account.
We deeply appreciate your contribution of any amount to help us recover from
our hurricane loss and continue to promote tennis in our community.
